Measuring Length and Width (L x W). (If your filter is not a square, the smallest measurement goes first).
Measure the thickness (Depth) of your filter from front to back.
Put Your measurements together (L x W x D).

View Detailed InstructionsThe 16x25x4 Aerostar is designed as a replacement for Lennox deep-pleat air filter cabinets, sized at an actual 15 1/2" x 24 1/2" x 4 1/4". Lennox whole-house media filter housings run on a 4-inch slot, and the Lennox-branded refill through a dealer is substantially more expensive than this Aerostar equivalent, with the same pleated media construction and the same dimensional fit. MERV 8 covers baseline residential filtration: dust, lint, pollen. MERV 11 handles pet households and mild allergy concerns. MERV 13 captures fine particulates including bacteria, virus-carrying droplets, and wildfire smoke - the recommended grade for households with respiratory health issues. The 4-inch depth is what makes this filter outlast 1-inch alternatives by a wide margin: substantially more media in the filter equals more capacity before pressure drop becomes the limit. Service life is 6 to 12 months in typical residential conditions. Pleated synthetic electrostatic media handles the work, manufactured by Con-Air Industries at the Orlando, Florida facility. Cardboard frame, reinforced for the airflow rates Lennox whole-house systems generate. If your Lennox has a static-pressure-monitoring port, use it to verify filter performance across the service life - climbing static pressure is the actual change indicator regardless of how long the filter has been in service.
This whole house air filter is designed for residential use. By providing cleaner air, this filter reduces the risk of allergens in the home. It is effective at capturing particles like dust, pollen and mold spores from the air passing through the filter. It is also designed to be effective at attracting and capturing microscopic particles that can carry bacteria and viruses. This filter lasts for up to 12 months before needing replacement.

MERV ratings let you know the efficiency and level of filtration that an air filter can handle under normal circumstances. The higher the MERV rating, the finer the particles are that are filtered our of the air in your home. Many air filter retailers use MERV or a similar rating to rate their air filters.
MERV Rating is the primary rating system used in the industry, both domestically and internationally. Established by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers, MERV rates a filter’s ability to capture and hold particles and pollutants.
MPR Rating is a rating system developed by 3M. It rates the manufacturer’s Filtrete product line and their ability to capture airborne particles smaller than 1 micron.
FPR Rating is a rating system developed by The Home Depot for brands sold through their stores, including Honeywell. It utilizes a color code and number scale (4 to 10) that closely resembles the MERV rating.
Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 1 reviews.
